The festive season is here with us yet again. If you are the kind of person who takes an interest in visiting places around the globe, then I have good news for you, precisely if you are visiting Germany. Germany is one of the European countries that have gained significant popularity as a tourist destination. Its capital, Berlin, is one spectacular city in Europe but that’s not all there is to see in the country. In fact, there are lots of attractions in the country you cannot exhaust in a single visit. Here is a breakdown of my top five.
The ruins of this castle are among the most preserved piece of history in the country. The castle was first built in the early 1200 and expanded into two castles in 1294 only to be struck by a lightning bolt. Over the years it underwent a series of destruction by lightning and wars and fires as well. The ruins are located in the northern part of the Alps and offer a beautiful scenery.
The Berlin Wall, built in 1961, was a barrier that was constructed by the communist government that divided Berlin into two: West Berlin and East Berlin. The essence of the wall was to restrict movement of fascists from the west into the east. The wall which was a symbol for cold war stood up until 1989 when the government announced its demolition and people could now cross freely. The remains of the wall stand a symbol for the remembrance of the cold war and the reunification of the population of Berlin.
The locals prefer calling it the lonely planet. The Bavarian Alps is just a term used to refer to some mountain ranges of the northern limestone Alps. They form a spectacular scenery and a stunningly beautiful natural divide along the Australian border. This is one place you shouldn’t miss while in Germany.
This is the largest amusement park in Northern Germany. A perfect place for you and your family. It is located in the Soltau, Germany. There are a lot of attractions in thi9s theme park from roller coasters, water rides among many others. Make sure you pass by the park.
This is my all-time favorite tourist destination in Germany. The museum is the largest museum of Science and Technology all around the globe. There are over 28000 items to be exhibited from over 50 different fields of science and technology. The museum records approximately 1.5 million visitors per year. This is one place I’d recommend anybody touring Germany to visit.
Welcome visitors from all over the world! I’m Hans from Düsseldorf Germany and I want to share my beautiful city with everyone around the world. Düsseldorf is the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia and it a very important financial, business and cultural center of our nation. If you have a holiday coming up and are considering places to visit — you can do a lot worse than visiting us.
One of our most popular foods is the traditional dish called Rheinischer Sauerbraten — which is a delicious mouth-watering sour roast beef (and sometimes horse) meal that will make your mouth explode in German flavorful goodness.
